Winner Takes It All

Have you ever had two thoughts about one situation?  And were those thoughts both positive and negative? I must tell you, when I recently had such an opposing thought, it really started me thinking about how our thoughts impact our lives.  Think about it, a few of the great universal laws ruling our wonderful planet say that you get back what you put out there.  Your thoughts are what you become; treat others, as you would want to be treated.  I can go on and on, attitude is everything, what you think, feel and believe, is what you will draw to you.  All of these statements are said to be true.

I can tell you from my own personal experience, and from what I have seen and heard from others, that once you become aware of the fact that you control the way you react to and perceive a situation, you will then be in a much better place to create the movement towards the direction you would like it to go.

To give a quick example, I have a good friend who was recently laid off from a job in the financial industry.  Instead of spending weeks and weeks in a negative flow of energy, he only spent a few days in that mode, and then picked himself up and started looking for another job in the same industry.

His though process shifted in those few days from, I can stay in this mind-space of negative, and just sit here and waddle in my unhappiness, or I can pick myself up and actively search out what I want for myself. I am very happy he chose to search out what he wanted.  His essence is way to amazing to just sit and waddle.

Low and behold, three weeks later, he found a fabulous job in the same field he was just laid off from, and it was an hour less commute to and from his office, as well as much brighter surroundings, and great people to work with.

Now if he would have stayed with a negative outlook, he could have gone on that interview with underlying energetic negativity, and he may not have been offered the position. People can pick up on the energy you bring to their space, and if does not feel good, they will tend to not want to be around you. So again, I am happy he snapped out of it and got his positive flow back in a short time frame.

Remember the saying, A positive attitude can move you in the direction of success, and a negative attitude can just as easily move you in the direction of despair. The way you react to things is how your surroundings will be lived. If you walk around all day with the poor me syndrome, you will be busy, busy thinking about everything that can go wrong, and you will spend most your time focusing on the negative, and will exhaust yourself before you can begin thinking in a positive mode.

What you need to be doing is to focus on the positive, and begin to create ways to dig deep to find your positive thoughts, as well as your inner strength, and then using it to create a successful outcome. I can’t stress enough the importance of thinking and being aware of your thought pattern.  Some people are so use to going straight to the negative, that most outcomes are not to their satisfaction. That is just not good enough for me, and it should not be good enough for you.

You have all the tools and all the power to think the way you choose, and that should be in a positive mode.  Too much is at stake for you to settle for a natural negative flow.

If you find that you lean more towards the negative then the positive, there are a few simple things you can do to shift that attitude.  The first thing to do is to become aware of the fact that you mostly think in a negative way.  Next try to figure out how, and where that thinking pattern may have begun.  If you cannot pinpoint exactly when flowing toward the negative began, it is no big deal, just start to now become conscious of shifting that thought process into a positive one.  You can also start using daily affirmations stating such simple truths as “ I am great and happy, because that is the way I choose to be, and I will deal with all situations in a positive way.”

The winner does take it all in life. That is because they have the mindset and the vision of a winner.  hey will not settle for anything less, and neither should you. Everyone in this world can be a winner; it is his or her choice.

Re-charge-Re-capture and Re-energize

Posted by admin | Uncategorized | Wednesday 28 October 2009 12:10 pm

How do you feel when you are totally stressed, and pressed for time?  If your like many, your productivity takes a hit, and not in an upward direction.   When you feel as if your being pulled in many different directions at once, you can become less productive and begin to start feeling overwhelmed.  It is at this time that you need to take a step back, and reduce the noise in your life.

So what are some things you can do to get back on track?

First off, you can have the basics in place, such as having a weekly plan of action, put things in the order of importance that they need to be done. You should also feel comfortable with tweaking and changing as the week progresses.

The important thing is to have it written down, so you can look and see what you would like to accomplish during that week.   If all cannot get done, no big deal, save what you can for another time.  When you have your tasks written down in front of you, it is naturally easier not to get confused or distracted, and you won’t forget what you intended to do.

Second, have a good system in place, one that you feel comfortable with.  Make sure it works for you, and is making it easier to achieve the things you would like to. When you are organized there is a better flow of productivity.

Now, for some of the so-called out–of-the-box things you can do in order to re-charge, re-capture, and re-energize.

For starters, learn the art of listening to yourself.  Be still and here your inner voice reaching out to you.  If you feel like you need a break, take one.   If you feel like you would like to visit, or do something you have not done, find the time to do it.  Point is, don’t ignore your thoughts and what you feel.  Hear yourself and listen.

It is also good to try something new, or do something you use to love doing, and have not done in awhile.  When you do this, it can help to energize you in a very positive way.   On the other end of thought, you can also just take a break and do nothing except spend the day reflecting and resting.

You will find that if you take a break and do something you normally would not do every once in awhile, it will help to create a balance of newness in your life that in turn will work in a very uplifting way for you.  It will help to bring change, excitement and flavor into your life.  The benefit is a perfect balance of calm and energy.  Instead of feeling drained, you will feel re-charged and ready to take on the world.

Five Enriching Shifts Towards Happines

Posted by admin | Uncategorized | Thursday 15 October 2009 9:17 am

It is so wonderful to realize that happiness is something that you attain from inside yourself.  Just this knowledge alone, of knowing that we have all the power within to create our world is so empowering.  It is also amazing when we acknowledge that we can tap into the beauty of the universe and enjoy all the surroundings around us.  The beauty of this world should make us all happy.  Looking at a beautiful baby or child laugh and smile, looking at the sunset, counting the stars, and watching the waves in the ocean flow back and forth.  Right now I can hear my next-door neighbor playing a beautiful melody on the piano.  All we have to do is tune into what’s around us, and find the wonder in it.

People from all over are discovering what it means to truly live a life they love.  To live in any other way is just cheating yourself.  You need to begin now to create your world of happiness.   You don’t wait for happiness to come in the future, you create your future now, you live happy now, and then all the best will follow.

By just taking a few simple steps, you will help yourself to begin to appreciate all that is great around you. When we can look at both, what’s good, and not so good in our lives, along with having an optimist attitude to work with it, we are then ten steps ahead…. and all else is attainable standing from this very powerful point.  The best thing is that to get started, you only need to make simple shifts towards happiness.

SHIFT ONECreate an optimist mindset.  What you think is what you will bring towards you. Start using positive affirmations everyday.  Write them out, put them where you can see them when you awake first thing in the morning, and before you go to sleep in the evening. Carry your favorite ones on a small index card, and glance at them throughout the day.  What you think is what you are.  You first need to feel wonderful and happy inside yourself, after that it will emanate outwards naturally.   And if you think you are happy, great and successful, then you are.

SHIFT TWOTap into your inner essence.  Dig deep, learn all about you.  Take the time to look at what you want, and what your needs are. Then take action towards attaining those needs. Learn how to release your essence and create in your life what you need to make it shine.  In order to do this, you need to really take time to do whatever it is that relaxes you, and look within.  I recommend setting a schedule of quietness for you, and just listen to your inner voice and thoughts.

SHIFT THREETreat your body and mind with the upmost respect.  Learn how to nourish your body and mind with all that is good.  Enjoy and eat delicious healthy foods that are good for you. Create an interesting exercise routine that does not bore you.  This could be a beautiful walk one day, a yoga class the next, maybe go to the gym, play tennis.  Whatever gets your body moving.  Take time to feed your mind as well.  Read books that interest you, books you can learn from, or simply enjoy for their entertainment.  Listen to cd’s or participate in teleclasses and workshops that will help you to make changes and learn new skills. Simply sing and dance around the house, put your pajamas on when you have nothing to do on a Sunday afternoon, watch movies, make your favorite soup, drink healthy tea, take a bubble bath, anything to simply relax your mind.

SHIFT FOURLearn to nurture your relationships.  Take special care not to take anyone for granted in your life.  Respect what is important to them.  Learn to communicate on a real level.  Try to be aware of changes you can take to make certain situations better, if they are in need of change.  Become mindful of the other person, of the way they are, and love them for who they are.

SHIFT FIVELove yourself.  In order to fully be there for everyone important in your life, you need to be there for you first.   Take special care to always treat yourself well.

Remember when you focus on the positive, and tap into your tremendous potential, all will start to flow towards the attainment of what you want more of in your life.  Also always be mindful of doing what you can for others.  Have gratitude for what you can give, and for what you have.

Joie de Vivre—simply meaning—enjoyment of life.

When you think of creating a plan, it is good to keep in mind that having a clearly defined vision, along with a healthy dose of passion, almost always guarantees success.

There is a lot to be said about the saying “Begin With the End Result in Mind.”  One of the keys to inviting more of what you want in your life is to believe you already have it.

When you create a plan that works for you, along with having the passion to want it to succeed, as well as having the vision of seeing it as your truth, and consciously working towards that vision, it will eventually come to be in some shape or form.

  7. If you could do anything you wanted for a living and get paid whatever you wanted, what would that be?
  8. What are your greatest strengths? How can you maximize these strengths?
  9. Are you consciously aware of, and do you make an effort to help others less fortunate?
  10. What pleases you very much in your life right now?  What are you not so pleased with?
  11. How can you begin to take the steps to make changes with the things that do not please you?
  12. if you could pass on one piece of wisdom to the whole world that you hav learned to date, what would it be?

Create your goals, create your life…

Discover the Five Essential Tips for Making Your Goals a Reality

“There is one quality which one must possess to win, and that is definiteness of purpose,    the knowledge of what one wants, and a burning desire to possess it.

-Napoleon Hill

Everyone has goals; how one follows through with them determines the success or failure of any particular goal.  Most of your highly successful people have had clearly defined goals that they were determined to achieve.  They were creative in their process, and made changes along the way to accomplish what they set out to do.  If a circumstance changed, they just tweaked their process, until their end-goal was met.  They know that taking no action is an action to fail.  It was their choice to succeed.

What is your choice? How serious are you about setting up an action plan to begin achieving your goals?  Are you willing to do the work?  These are just some questions that would be helpful for you to think about.   Becoming clear on what your goals are, deciding what you want, and what steps you will take, as well as how long it will take you to achieve these goals is very important.   Remember it is not about saying you want this or that, or saying you will set a particular goal.  It is about doing the work, going through the process to achieve the goal that counts.   That is what will make you successful at attaining what you want in your life.  Hope you are on board to start creating your extraordinary self, with one goal after another begin met.

Step One-

Simply decide to take action towards setting your goals, and mean it.  Understand that goal setting is a powerful tool for personal and professional planning.  It is wise to set your goals in order of smallest to largest to be met.  As you accomplish each goal, celebrate your achievement, you deserve it.  Begin now by looking deep into yourself, and focus on what you really want to achieve, become clear on the goals you want to work with. See them, feel them being accomplished, and then become the reason it was achieved.  Take a look at all the main areas in your life you would like to work on Career, Relationships, Well-being, etc, and under each one write down the first thoughts that come to your mind under each category.  What is important? Where do you want change?  Go ahead start taking the steps to create your best life!!!

Step Two-

Now that you have a clear idea of what goals you would like to set for yourself, we can start moving in the direction of setting up an action plan.  Begin by writing your goals down in full description, with timescales next to each of them stating when you would like to accomplish each one. Remember start with the smallest goal first, then work your way up to the largest.  To make this more real and meaningful jot down next to each goal why you want to achieve this goal? What difference will it make in your life? And how strong is your desire to achieve it?  Asking these questions will help you continue to see why these goals are important to you, and why you should continuously be motivated to accomplishing them.  Go full stream ahead to your success!!!

Step Three-

Make a commitment to yourself to prioritize your time.  This will help you strategically balance you life better, and you will be in a better position to continuously focus on the important things in your life.  A few days after you write your goals down re-read them, are you still feeling motivated to achieve them?  If you are great, if not write better reasons why you want to accomplish the goal, or simply remove it from your goals list.  You want to focus on only what is really important to you at this time.  It is the reason behind the goal that makes us have a deep desire to achieve it, not only the goal itself.  When you have goals you truly, deep down want to reach, you are more likely to continue to make it a priority to use your time in the most productive way, with emphasis on taking time to consistently, and actively work on that goal each week.  You need to put the goal at hand on your weekly schedule.  This will now become part of your new success routine.  You need to devise a plan of action to reach your goal. Go ahead; start visualizing all the possibilities, because you are actively working to make them a reality!!!

Step Four-

You will find as you go through the process of reaching success with your first goal, that once you do, your sense of accomplishment will feel great.  This will help you see all the greatness your future holds as you continue to reach one goal after another.  You may have an occasional setback that is fine.  Remember it is how you deal with the obstacles that come your way, that determine whether or not you will succeed with your end result, it is always your choice.  It is not the obstacle itself, you can always rise above that.  You just have to keep focusing on the end result of success with your goal, and deal with the obstacles as what they are temporary sidetracks.  Keep moving forward, nothing can stop you now!!!

Step Five-

Always break your goals down into sub-goals.  Be specific about what day you will work on your goal? What you would like to accomplish that week towards achieving the goal?  Being specific will continuously give you clarity and direction, along with keeping you focused, as well as giving you that extra little push you may need from time to time.  Begin getting excited, if you decide to start seriously setting goals for yourself, your life is about to change for the better!!!

So, there you have it.  A beginning plan towards helping you to start taking the steps to actively move your life in the direction you want it to go.  Now that you will soon have a list of goals you truly want to achieve, always dig deep for your inner confidence to keep moving you forward. And remember take the smart approach. S-Specific, M-Measurable A-Achievable, R-Relevant, T-Time-bound!!!

To Your Success,

Lori
